More Than Ever Children Need Their Grandmothers
Grandmothers, with their endless reservoir of love and patience, help their grandchildren navigate the challenges of growing up.
Grandmothers are the pulse of this world. Grandmothers everywhere play a unique role in their grandchildren's lives.
Especially in today's fast-paced, technology-driven, crazy world, grandmothers remind us of the joy found in simple pleasures.
Baking a favorite family recipe together, gardening, or sitting down on the porch to share stories without the interruption of cell phones, TV, or video games. Cultivate an appreciation for the present.
As Grandmothers, we can teach our grandchildren to find happiness in the little things, fostering a sense of contentment and a break from the constant stimulus of digital life.
My grandchildren can name almost all the birds in the forest, as we spend so much time walking the trails in our town.
They have seen a family of deer, beavers, foxes, raccoons, and other interesting animals. In addition, they can identify many varieties of wild mushrooms.
Last Christmas, my grandson even asked for a book about mushrooms. Imagine that.
And you know what? We even wrote and published our first book (An imaginary book for kids) together, which we put on Amazon about our adventures in the woods. My heart is so full thinking of that book appearing on Amazon.
The most profound gift a grandmother offers is her unconditional love, time, and unwavering support.
Aging Well
My grandmother lived to 101 years old, and I am determined to live to 102 or beyond, and I am determined to do everything I can to take care of this body that God entrusted to me.
I am part of a group of phenomenal women 50+, some even in their late 70s, who are doing incredible things to live a natural life. Some of the things I am learning are amazing.
I will share one thing every week to help you live a long, healthy, and happy life. I will share the information with you. I am not diagnosing anything - do your research.
Here is one of these amazing things I have been learning about. THE IODINE CRISIS. I want everyone to start listening to this free download book. It’s a fast read!
Here is the link to The Perfect Iodine once you have read this free book.

Learn a New Word - Teach it to Your Grandchild - it’s Fun.
When the lockdowns happened a few years ago, and children were learning from home, I had the chance a few times a week to watch my grandson while he did his classwork.
I saw how hungry he was to learn new things, so I took the opportunity to teach him new words.
I started a challenge where he would learn a new word each week with me and use that new word throughout the week.
I will never forget the day he used the first word I taught him.
Now, listening to him talk at eleven years old, it’s incredible how advanced he is in his communication.
The first word I taught him was...
serendipitous
lucky in making unexpected and fortunate discoveries; having or bringing good fortune
Good Eats to Make
Oh my gosh, I made these the other day, and they were so delicious. I had these on the side with a green salad, microgreens, and avocado salad. I could eat this every night.
